In retrospect, my original 2004 goal of averaging one post per day seems a bit… ambitious. I have plenty that I'd like to write about, but something about blogging seems like too much effort. Especially for someone who is in crunch mode as much as I am.
And a lot has changed in the world of the internet over the past four years. There are many more neat ways to communicate with folks today, such as Facebook, Flickr, Twitter, etc., and they are getting more and more interesting by the day. Exciting!
So what to do with a blog? Well… I'm not sure. I certainly won't be posting a new entry every day, but I still want to keep central home for MikeyP on the net. I'm thinking of trying something new… maybe a mashup of different services, maybe something like a retro Web 1.0 zine, who knows. I should have some time to play with this site in January, so we'll see what happens.
One thing is almost certain: the webcam's days are numbered…
Same here trying to do a blog. Two of them in fact. Natural writers love writing on blogs. I even know people who think that Yahoo Groups is their blog and right pages in their posts! But if writing isn't your main mode of expression then it becomes a little more difficult.
I am a Mikey P too! Congrats on 4 years...kinda! :)
I had a real quick question. I was googling an amp I have looking for a picture of the original foot pedal that came with it and stumbled on this site. I have a Crate G40cxl, I need the pedal, I dont even know where to start with it. DO you have a pic of what your old pedal used to look like, or if you could maybe desribe it to me
thank you so much
PS ,upon reading your about me. I have lost weeks, and I mean weeks to Sim City 1 - 4000. Since the first day I plugged that sucker into my super nintendo! That game has taugh me more about civil engineering than any class I could ever take. Kudos!
Thanks Mike! I'm afraid I don't remember what the G40 pedal looked like. I did, however, find that most of the accessories were really simple to make - I made my own effects loop adapter using a simple stereo phono plug from radio shack. I'll bet any generic footswitch will work with the G40.
